🤔 How Does This Tool Work?

Our Percentage Calculator handles three types of percentage calculations:

  • What is X% of Y? → Answer = Y × X ÷ 100. Used for: discounts, tips, tax calculations.
  • X is what % of Y? → Answer = X ÷ Y × 100. Used for: exam scores, completion rates, progress tracking.
  • Percentage change → Answer = (New−Old) ÷ Old × 100. Used for: salary increases, price changes, growth rates.

Each calculation shows the result with a clear explanation of what the number means, so you always understand what you are looking at.
